michael biggers

Michael started playing guitar at the age of 14. In 1971, Michael's graduating class at Lucy Laney High School voted him the best male musician. He went on to attend Eckerd College in St. Petersburg Florida where he studied trumpet, guitar & music theory. From 1976 to 1997 Michael taught guitar, bass guitar, and music theory at Brunkows Music Store in Augusta Georgia. Over the years, Michael has played in local CSRA groups such as: Funny Bone, The Marquis, Leroy Lloyd And The Swinging Dukes, Compulsion, Playback, The Ron Norwood Revue, Just Us, The Will Noble Affair, Sandy “B” And The ALLstars, and The Michael Biggers Experience. In several of the groups, Michael served as music director. Michael is currently teaching guitar at Portman's Music Store in Augusta Georgia. In January 2007 Michael joined the BrassTyme Band and has been having a ball ever since.
